**** these words that are killing me,
thrust into a world of obscenity,
where there is no god and there is no love
when it comes hand in hand without Him above
where the division comes easy between race and man
this place where we can't learn we're all hand in hand,
there's so much variety in the force of attraction
and yet we sit back, taunting the world as it happens
and we don't understand the difference or the likeness of us
because we're too busy living and deducing love from lust
because what is life if we will never have each other?
what is the point to it if we don't have a lover?
and the loneliness is killing us and the news is on repeat
and all the tv's feeding us is ways to stop our heartbeat
well i'm done with this, i can't live this way,
i can't stand to hear this **** day after day
because guns do kill people, knives, humans, they all do,
but what the **** did it ever mean to you?
so call him a ****** and call him a *****;
call him a ******, make him know what you think.
give them what they deserve for not being like you,
take pride in the fact that you'll never walk in their shoes.
your words are worth nothing but they still sting,
there isn't one voice that doesn't mean a thing,
there's always one line that we all eventually cross;
there's always one absence, one pain, one loss.
so next time you speak those words you feel may be profound..
remember that you'll be with them the second they hit they ground.
remember you contributed to what you all think is new,
but honestly it's been going on for years beyond these few
the only thing that's different is how little we've progressed;
caring less for murderers and more for how we dress.
look at the ***** betraying you, don't you know you're not in style?
i'll kiss you now and love you so but stab you in a mile.
don't forget to scream my name and know i won't look back..
this is life, haven't you heard? i'll let you in on a little fact.
these wars, these protests, these broken hearts and lack of trust;
i don't know if you've noticed, but it's all because of us.

and i'm sorry for the curse words,
i didn't change them, and i'm not going to,
you can use your imagination; it's easy enough to figure it out.
it's not fabulous. i'm not a poet.
i just wrote this because i felt like it, and i worked hard at it,
and it may not be great by your standards but hell, if i worked at it, i did good enough,
and i am proud of it.
