Two threads in the movies section ([1] (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=36664) and [2] (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=499784)) have been unstuck and closed with no reason given (that I can see looking through them). The first thread has been there for 3 years with over 1,500 posts. Both users were non-VIP and one was banned so it was either Hitman (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=44300), Johno! (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=25039), Drewar (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=3835), a super mod or Admin. What was the reason for closure?

Hey everyone,

We have had some issues recently with "What are you ____" threads. After discussion forum management has decided that all "What are you _____", with one exception will be closed. The reason for this is we believe that the purpose of the forum is to create a community and discussion. These posts do not foster a discussion, nor do they foster a community, you post your thing, and move on then someone else posts theirs and moves on. A forum is supposed to be a community, a thread a discussion. The What are you ____ threads are not discussions.

The What are you Listening To thread is the ONE exception we are making, because we feel that this one thread does have a significant purpose in that you can get popular songs from other people before you and often some interaction does go on. However, it will now be closely moderated, and posts that aren't songs (ie theme tunes, listening to the rain patter on my windowsill) will be considered pointless. The "What are you listening to" thread will also serve as a test ground, we will see if watching it more closely works and in the future we may allow other similar threads if they foster a discussion between parties. However for the moment, all threads to do with "What are you _____" will be closed under the pointless posting rule.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

There has been an announcement and many feedback/complaint threads on this all ready. All threads of this kind have been closed due to spamming and, if you would like to see a certain one re-opened, you need to PM either nvrspk4 or Professor-Alex with a good case with reasons why you think the thread should be re-opened (some are currently being considered for re-opening). Not all of the threads were being spammed but it was much easier to close them all at once and let members put forward reasons why some of them should be re-opened.
