Sony wouldn't give M$ Boo-ray unless they were offered 2 trillion gillion billion pounds and 32 pence.

Actually they would do it for very little because Sony would earn a lot out of it considering the Xbox 360's huge market share and continued strong sales. Sony would probably earn a (large?) percentage out of every BD addon sold.

How is this? At PlayStation Day a couple of months ago, the President of Sony's video games division said that Blu-Ray has been confirmed to be PlayStation 3 exclusive.

They were probebly offered a unrefusable offer in money , security, shares of exclusivity to a product of microsoft has created for companies.. or rights to use some of the hardware/software used in the 360

Why would it matter about Sony, MS have asked Toshiba and Samsung, which isn't Sony. Yeah, Sony may be part of the Blu-ray Disc Association, but doesn't mean it has to be put through them first?

Microsoft has confirmed this is nothing but a rumour and BD addon will not appear.

"We have no plans to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience. We believe that we shouldn't force consumers to pay for things they don't want. We also believe that the future's digital, and that's why we've invested in a massive library of entertainment content."
