View Full Version : What is your Job?

Misawa

I've just been offered a job interview about 20 minutes ago, this late at night. Job hunting is extremely hard to come by these days, so I am relieved, and hope the interview goes well. Anyway, I thought I'd make a thread where everyone can post their current jobs, as well as any they had prior.

When I was in Sixth Form, I worked at a supermarket part-time. I am a freelance writer currently, and have been for a couple of years now. I ghostwrite blogs, articles, proodread and the like for those who need such services, in exchange for money, obviously. I also am a script consultant and in most cases doctor for those send me their screenplays, which is good money. I am a film-maker on top of that, as my signature suggests, and am this close to making my first professional feature. *Fingers crossed*.

Anyway, yes, what is your job/history?

cocaine
09-10-2008, 09:01 PM
job history is empty, im only in year 11 and since im not 16 until july (:'() i wont be getting a proper job anytime soon.

however i do have a paper round, which is only £15 a week but atm i dont need a lot of money.

It really is. I had to give up my supermarket job to concentrate on other things, but I'd go for anything. Luckily I'm going to be full-time if I pass the interview, just have a lot of training first though.

I currently don't have a job, and the only job I have ever had was working at Sainsbury's part-time last year. College takes up my entire week and I have things to do at the weekend, so a job is out of the question until summer atleast. I rely solely on ema for money, although I know of a shop that will sell your own doujinshi (fan-made manga) for free. So me and my mate are going to have a go at that, since he's brilliant at art, and I'm brilliant at writing. It's also kind of related to what I want to do later in life as well, so that's good. My dad sometimes gives me money for helping out around the house, he's also giving me like £100 because him and my brother are going to Ireland for a week and I didn't want to go. So I have to stay and look after the house and pet's. :8 I also do a one hour radio show every week at college, I should get paid for that because I'm so amazing, but I don't. :P

I work at Tesco identifying stock which needs to be cleared and reducing it to a price to do so... which, pretty much means I print off my stock lists and tell the departments to do it themselves if they haven't already. Good times.

No, it isn't SOCO. It's an academy centre. If I get the job I'll be trained there. I'm useless at Science, I got a C at GCSE, but that's enough to be a photographer in that field.

And thanks, Buttons.

As this is my thread and people asked the questions. Isn't there anything more contructive you can do than spend the time to quote every single post I've made in again, my thread. This is about EMPLOYMENT, and thus people can post whatever the hell they like that relates to that subject.

You see that chip? Yeah, get it off your shoulder.

Oh I thought you were talking about like an organisation or something. No I see that you mean a Scene of Crime Officer, right? I just say CSIs because it sounds better ;). Yeah, I'll be working alongside those guys when it comes to crime, but just taking photographs. I have a 3 day intensive training course starting Thursday through Saturday. Apparently the SoCos themselves used to take all the needed photographs, but that has since changed in my area and I'm the first to take the position. I guess some areas need them, and others don't.
