View Full Version : Should we switch the order of Ruby and Sapphire Stars?

Hey,
We have been debating switching Ruby and Sapphire starsets as the sapphire users will now have to go through Ruby again which many prefer not to do. Also, it is a fairly easy switch to make as it doesn't change the system and the order is debateable.
We may just be extremely professional and base our userrank system on the order of Pokemon games, assuming bronze as a mix of red blue and yellow, and thus making sapphire and ruby interchangeable.
But yeah the choices are fairly simple so pickkk and feel free to give feedback :)

Doesn't really bother me, its a rarity I haven't got a VIP subscription going anyway. I don't really see why it matters, its nothing more than a rank. Although I suppose people argue over a number in your profile so I guess that argument is out the window.
Lol I don't really care as I won't be without VIP so ranks don't bother me.

I hate it when they don't show us the results. I don't understand why they do that.
Why are we spending so much time debating user ranks. We could have just kept the same in the first place. The same with the reputation change MAD made.

Yes, it's a bit selfish of people to vote no when they probably aren't effected by this whole scenario. People want it switched so it's a no brainer to vote for them, what's the excuse for not voting for them (other than Pokemon)? Because Sapphire is more precious than Ruby which is what you're meant to focus on, not some game which got it wrong :P

They didn't get it wrong, they were released simultaniously but completely I agree with everything else you're saying (don't badmouth Pokemon :()!

According to Wiki, the games were released together, rather than one after the other, so not sure where this order of pokemon games comes from, because there is no real order other than 2 or 3 games are released next to each other, rather than one after the other, and besides, that's a completely different subject for a forum. Unless Habbox is turning into a Pokemon forum and they're obliged to follow Pokemon Colour Game Rules. Because they're not, they should follow the "order of preciousness/wedding anniversaries," not a game with no relevance to Habbox :P

Agreed, I only voted yes to stop people complaining.

You obviously see it differently to other people such as my self.
I have achieved ruby, now I have to achieve it all again. Yes, it is a user title.
Why go achieve something that you already have done?
You have to understand other peoples opinions but you don't have to necessarily agree with them.
Doesn't really matter for me.

I don't see why it matters what order the colours of the stars are in.. IMO Sapphire sounds higher up then ruby so whatever.

I do think the new ranks should of been placed at the top end of the tier, regardless of whatever table/method is used. So yes keep those that were previously ruby happy and make that switch ;)

Would be a bit random though. What could of worked was a completely new user group to go above Platinum that isn't a material or substance. Something based around the idea of "legendary," "power" and all that jazz :P

People only want them switched because there new and seem rarer, it shouldn't be changed in my opinion as saphire is before ruby, I don't think this whole thing should have been started imo, whats the problem with it? Its just a colour and the facts are facts, because your not satisfied with it, doesn't mean you have to not live with it.
Look at the whole reputation senario, the whoe debate to get it changed back was thrown out of the window. If people don't like the ranks, then build up their post count and it'll convert to a new rank, better still, buy VIP.
And don't moan at me because I am VIP or anything, that was my desicion and brens, and nothing to do with this whole situation.

How are they moaning about the rareness of the colours?! They're moan about the fact that they don't want to go through the same colour again :/ Ruby members are now Sapphire, which is before Ruby. I thought they were going to cleverly implement them so that there are no changes to high ranked members e.g. Ruby will still have their PM box limit and avatar/signature image. It seems all aspects have changed while they've dropped a few ranks.
