We should have atleast bein asked if we wanted it..
Its breaking rules its posting news that has already being posted and there is no point in normal users posting because it will just post as soon as news staff do

so you might aswell close the news section to users except the bot or get rid of bot..

Yes because people who post old news get there threads close but yet the bot isnt getting its threads close...

I think it's because it posts news depending if it's posted in the Habbo UK category and because of some technical issues, news or articles can't be posted... :(

As for the topic in hand, you can still discuss news and there are some news that Habbox news staff probably wouldn't report on (eg Nilsn promoted/resigning... whatever it was lol).

The idea is still under trial as far as I am aware. I have said it many time, the reports are direct from the Habbox Site and for today there was 3 reports (I think, haven't checked whilst writing this) about Habboween stuff and the Habbox News Report had it all it one thread, in an interesting way.

It doesn't stop discussion at all and I have no idea why loads of people are revolting against it, spamming more than the bot in its thread like 'I H8 U BOTTTTTT' etc.

:o Oh no! It's going on his ignore list! Lets all get worried!

Listen, I don't see anything wrong with the bot.. People can discuss it just as they do with normal posts, and you say it's spamming up the forum when it's only 2 or 3 posts a day maximum. And all of you posting on here going 'I HATE THE NEWS BOT IT SPAMZ ND EVERYFIN' is more spam than the news bot.

Plus, the news bot provides actual reports, so you can read into detail what's actually happened.

So please everyone do not cry over a bot, I'm sure it will not have affect your life.

i hate the bot. it reposts everything and its even duplicated its own post!!
Why dont we just take it to its own forum or sub section.

or for it to search the lines in the forum
eg,
HABBO WEEN 08
(Search for it in page 1 / 2 )
If it finds it, dump report.

if it doesnt. hit the send button.

Actually, if you look there were 3 threads on the same thing but after a while they were merged and thats why Ohirian gave me -rep

He does have a point, though. People get warned/infracted for posting threads on the same topic, when the bot does it. If, say, Habbo released a new rare at 12:00, someone could post that by 12:01. Whereas for the bot to post, an article has to be made on habbox then the bot posts so the news could be alot later than previously posted.

It doesn't bother me but there really is no need for it.

Why don't they set it to get it directly from the Habbo website?

Because the aim was to promote Habbox News, not Habbo's. Plus Habbox reports are arguably better than Habbo's ;).

I don't think it's promoting Habbox News at all. The only thing I can actually see the bot doing is ruining the community there was in the Habbo UK News & Rumours section. People like making posts, in their own way, providing images of the new furniture, etc. I think other appropriate methods should be taken to promote Habbox News such as adding links to places that stand out. I agree with all these threads that it should be removed, and I don't even read the section often.

Don't cry. - Your meant to be staff, not being rude in the UK news section.

The bot annoys me too. Fair enough, it doesn't stop discussions happening. However, it does make it harder for other HxF users to post the news there own way without the thread bieng closed because it's already been posted. I thought the whole point of the UK news and rumours forum was for people to post anything they'd discovered or new articles and then for people to discuss it, not for the news bot to tell us everything or repeat half the things which have already been posted.

I'm in, -rep!!!!!

Hah how's that for an idea, +rep if you want it, -rep if you don't, if its in positives come two weeks we keep it if its not then we don't.

(Of course I kid because this would give some more say than others.)

We're thinking about possibly moving it to a subforum, or we may just let it run for two weeks, see if people get used to it, and at that point see what the News+Rumors people think.
