Personal photos as in a picture of your self?

But you're only allowed to link to an image as opposed to embedding it into the forum.

As Slowpoke said you can post a link but you can't embed it into the forum.

What's the difference between clicking a link than looking at a picture on a forum. If there were paedophiles on the forum, I'm sure that a link won't stop them.

that i have to agree :)
i think you should either make a rule to not post your pictures/links to pictures AT ALL or you just let them.

You can only link to images of yourself not directly embed them therefore photo in your avvy is embedding and breaking the rules.

It's to stop Habbox getting the blame if anything happens to them or something like that.

Yes, it's against the rules. Another pathetic part of this place.

Even if a pedo (yes i know it isn't the correct spelling!) did something with your photo - guess what, **** happeneds. You have myspace, facebook etc. Just don't put a photo of your self up there if you so worried and stop letting other people suffer because you think this, that.
Habbox get the blame for what exactly...? You think myspace said that...? Youtube? GOOGLE? Ha... yeah right.
Celebrities are allowed. So popularity means you can have a photo?
Difference between that and a link to your photo is?

I don't understand why it isn't allowed. You get perverts/pedos everywhere you go on this weird planet. I bet there's some pathetic children on here who toss over pixels.

I don't understand the rule.

Unless it is against the fansite way then that's a whole different story.

Because people's photos would be used against them in arguments - It'd just result in a huge increase of insults and bullying causing unnecessary extra work for the forum staff - There's pretty much nothing to gain but there's plenty to lose.

Ban the people who do that. If the mods complain about there work load then don't be a mod. Simple as that.

doesnt make much difference if links to photos are allowed.

I honestly wouldn't care about the extra work load - Anyone who knows me knows that I do as much as I can when it comes to moderating. It would be 'unnecessary' because no-one likes to be bullied or insulted and that's what we mean when we say it's to protect the members.

This is the generation of social networking. That rule just makes HxF backward.
