o.0 on the live session thing you know before you install it is there a problem with the internet or anything, as atm i put the ethernet cable in and it picks it up and even says;

Speed: 100 Mb/s

yet it takes 37 seconds to load google? :S

It will be slow, its loading resources to run the OS off the disk all the time, it will speed up to normal speed once installed.

can't edit above but any ideas?

I started the installation, and chose where im from but it only shows top half of the screen (its resolution is set to 800x600 and i can only change it to 640x480 , can't change to 1024x768 or w/e it is usually.. o.0 so i only see the top half of the box and it won't go any smaller and if i put it to maxamise it doesn't change.. ?

Hey,

If you need, the live cd can install ubuntu without actually logging you in to a live session from the start up menu, if i remember correctly. Equally you may be able to fix the issue with the live session, enabling restricted drivers will often solve such problems.
Although i cant imagine 800x600 is that big of a hindrance, ive successfully navigated the installation at 640x480 before, although it did take some guess work on what the buttons said.
