X Factor "angel" Diana Vickers is really a wild child who worked in a pub when she was 16 and loves boozy nights out.
And even after drinking her favourite Cheeky Vimto and blue WKDs until the early hours, Diana, 17, still makes it to classes at her private all-girls school.
A friend at Westholme School, Blackburn, said: "I couldn't believe it when I saw Diana on screen looking so fresh faced for a change. She was a million miles away from the girl I know.
"She's a wild child when she goes out. Diana just loves to party."
Diana has won loads of X Factor fans with her voice of an angel and pretty face including judge Dannii Minogue who calls her a "little doll".
But her mate said: "She loves socialising and getting dressed up for a night on the town. We go to an all girls school, so going out drinking is the only way we get to meet boys.
"She won't get in until the early hours but still manages to get to school on time after a heavy night out.

Diana's been dating Manchester University student Chris Jones, 18, for the past six months.
He said: "We both love going out socialising. She's such a nice girl and absolutely stunning. I really love her."
He has known Diana since she was 11 but they hooked up again after she served him and his dad in a pub last year. Chris added: "I first found out she could sing when we were at a party, she would just get up and sing."
But he fears her fame might jeopardise their relationship.
Chris said: "She does get a lot of attention now she is on TV, I try not to get jealous."
And he revealed that contestant Austin Drage, is keeping a watchful eye over her.
Chris, studying events management, added: "I'm quite good mates with Austin now and I know he is looking after my girl."

I'm not a big fan of her voice but I wouldn't say she 'screeched' down the mic. She just has a different sound to her which some will love and some will hate.

You see I like her because of her unique voice, you might say that a unique voice isnt necessarily a good one but you can say that with alexandra too, a powerful voice isnt necessarily a good voice. Not saying she hasnt got a good voice but personally I dont find it very interesting. Whereas Diana I find her voice different and interesting which is part of her appeal.

Her voice is amazing at times, sometimes it's hard to recognise what she is saying.

I think all three girls this year are amazing. Laura and Alexandra are mindblowing. Not quite as mindblowing as Leona Lewis (*bows down*), but both of them really are captivating. Besides, I love Mariah songs. :D

She can't sing, sounds weird as if shes murmerring, her voice isn't even that powerful or strong, if she was anything special I would of remembered her performances but I don't even remember seeing her audition :s.

The thing about the tabloids is they like to cause all sorts of crap, whether it's made up or not.

I think she sings in a unique way and I like her. I'm not to keen on Laura since she's dating a executive of The X Factor, kinda makes me suspicious although she does have a nice voice. She looks like a man whos transexual surgery went wrong :(

Tbh about the drinking, who actually cares, most normal teenagers go out drinking, apart from a few who stay in and discuss how people who go out are sad.

Singing competitions don't always mean you need just power in your voice.
id much rather listen to a variety of music artists than the same power ballads over and over.
