Hiya.
Basically I have been connecting to my wireless internet using a netgear USB dongle. However, at uni I seem to be the only one doing this! rofl
I know a lot of laptops, like macs, have built-in wifi and stuff, but I only bought this computer like a month ago!
With my old laptop I used a netgear PCMIA/Wireless card but it was quite big and sorta... stuck out the side of my laptop!
So basically is there something I am missing out on here?! lol Is there a discreet way to connect wirelessly that everyone but me seems to be doing, as I haven't seen anyone elses laptops with USB dongles or sticky-out wireless cards!

A wireless card like this that you can slot into your laptop (well, you can on mine :P)

Rofl come on... surely out of like a good 100 people using laptops I am not the only one with the usb dongle lol!
Rofl maybe I do have an internal one?! Is there any way to find out lmao...
I don't think you can buy a laptop these days without one built in. What brand is it?

It's a Toshiba!

I think it's that!
Well if you actually took time to read the specs.. It says..
Built-in wireless networking Yes - 802.11b/g
So you do have wireless built into your laptop.. so ditch the USB dongle.

Along the top of your computer does it say "WiFi" near caps lock etc?

Eeeh just because I don't sit an examing every single word... I don't have time lol.
Anyhoo today at uni, I forgot the USB dongle so I was like ahh! lol So I sort of forced myself to look into this whole built in wireless, and after a hell of a lot of looking I found my wireless switch and have now ditched the dongle completely! :)
Thanks for all helpful suggestions (that weren't rude ;P)! Repping now =)

The drivers might not be fully installed for the Built in card.
Get ur disks for the drivers and shove it in and try to reinstall networking card
