Hello all,
I just got a computer (used), and the sound doesn't work. I go into Volume Control and it says in the bottom left corner "Realtek AC97 Audio". But, no sound comes out when I try to play something. My computer monitor has speakers on t, so I presume it has a sound card and everything. My computer is an EiSYSTEM 5128.
Bear with me, as I'm not good with this kind of stuff
Heres my sound thingy on Control Panel if it helps:

Start > control panel > Administrative tools > Device management (im sure its in there, but i'm on Vista atm)
Then under sound video and game controllers does it have your sound card there?
Is there a list with a yellow ! next to "other devices"
If so which, if not doulbe click on the sound card option (if there is one)
Does it say "Device status: This device is working properly" ?
Does it have latest drivers?
