Can't any of the mods realised what is happening with me in the Sports forum? Nice to know, that someone gets infracted for saying something about Scousers, yet nothing happens when it's about the Welsh. I'm constantly being berated because of my nationality, yet if I had a go at anybody else, I'm sure something would happen to me. Do you really think I log onto this forum to see my nationality be mocked in half of the threads I am in?

Hello there,

I suggest reporting the post which you can do by clicking http://www.habboxforum.com/images/buttons/blue//report.gif that button on the post. When done so one of the online Super Moderators will check if its breaking any rules, then we will then deal it from there. I hope this helps you,

If you don't report it wont be delt with quickly enough, reporting posts that break the rules makes it faster for the smods to deal with :)

I quite agree with you. There are loads of people who say like "this is an english forum, huh. You are swedish, go to swedish forums instead"! etc. etc.

I get quite mad. But I report, and they stop.

The Sports forum is so badly moderated. Other posts don't need to be reported because there is always a mod around but in the sports forum, it's a different story.

Mainly because we find it really hard to differentiate between joking about and actual insults in that section. I have however dealt with the offending posts in the thread you were referring to.

Well it shouldnt be badly moderated there are 4 moderators that moderate that forum but i can see what you mean though, report all the posts that rule break in that section and one of the 5 smods will look into it :) I will also keep an eye on that section :)

I know how much insults are thrown about in that section. Most of them, about Cardiff etc I don't care about but racism, I hate.

There wasn't really a need to close the thread, we were actually discussing something.

As stated above, you may need to look into that forum to see what posts are insulting and what are jokes.

Had the argument not gotten as bad as it was, I probably would've left it. However, there was too much arguing and baiting going on in that thread for normal discussion resume - However, feel free to re-create it and remember that we're only a report/PM away if that happens again. :)

Its astounding how often that's said. Somehow members seem to think moderators have some psychic powers where we automatically know the intention and backstory of every post on the forum and know whether it's a joke or not; we simply don't! It's only obvious to the post maker and anyone else who is in on the joke. It's MUCH easier said than done, especially with people really stretching the definition of joke!

As for moderating the sports forum in general, I shall nudge the moderators of the general section and ask them to keep a closer eye on it :)

All I was saying, was read a few threads in it just to get an idea of how that forum goes.

Every situation is individual and can be interpreted in many different ways, simply looking at past examples isn't enough to know the intention of a given post unfortunately. If it was, the moderators' jobs would be much easier!
