A loss today could already prove that it isn't going to be our year. I wonder what the odds are on me coming back on later and saying "As I said before, if we could score goals, we'd win the league"

That boro match was ridiculous. The boro players just didn't care. It looked like Chelsea were playing amazingly but they werent.. we just played really badly.

That referee was a complete joke by the way.

We've got four games in under 2 weeks. Ripping them to pieces (as easy as it would have been) wasn't a necessary risk when you take into account how difficult the players will find this period.

Bringing on substitutions might have helped as they would have actually looked for goals unlike half the players on the pitch. You have to take advantage of these situations and raise your goal difference. If we want to compete for promotion we need a good goal-difference and it's one thing we don't have.

I disagree. It would be nice to get the goals but there's no need to go all out attack when you're already 2-0 up. It's worth getting the goals, but not when the team is heading for a busy period where fitness is key.
The best thing to take from today is that we beat a team comfortably that done the double over us last year. It's definate, undeniable improvement.

This team we have, can't score goals. One day, we are going to get tumped and our goal-difference will plummet. Every opportunity to score as many goals as we can needs to be taken. Look at the goal-difference of teams around us. We need score.

The Somalian under-9 national blind football team couldn't have been as worse as we were against Charlton. If we didn't improve on last year, every player needs to be shot.

Drew 3-3 with Peterborough.

Good result on paper, but we really should have coasted to three points when we were 3-1 up. Saying that, their fans could feel equally disappointed as they could have easily grabbed themselves a few goals had it not been for Ben Alnwick in goals.

Craig Mackail-Smith is the best opposition player I've seen in a long, long time.

To be fair, you have no chance of getting him whilst Barry Fry is at Peterborough.

During the summer, he was demanding £5million for Aaron Mclean after a £1.3million bid from Wolves. Add to that he has came out recently saying that if anyone is wanting to poach Darren Ferguson, they'll be wanting £8million compensation.

The guy is a grade A nutjob.

They rate McLean more than Mackail-Smith. They don't want much for Mackail-Smith. We've got money, we can bid.

Came from 1-0 down in the 6th minute to beat Cov 2-1, which means we now go top. Mifsud gave them the lead in the 6th minute then a few minutes before half time Kightly struck to even the scores. Ebanks-Blake got the winner in around the 60th minute, can't really remember. But anyway with Birmingham being held 1-1 by Burnley (lucky to get the goal tbh) and Reading being BEATEN by Preston 2-1 (didn't see that coming) we are now top of the Championship again.
Orient lost again, this time at home to Tranmere. Shucker scored the only goal of the game in the 39th minute as we slumped to a 3rd straight defeat (including the JPT penalty loss against Brighton). Haven't won in 7 games in all competitions, last victory was 2-0 away to Walsall on 6th September.

Another great comeback by Liverpool, going 1-0 down, making it 1-1, going 2-1 down, and then to bring it back and win 3-2 without the use of Torres is a fantastic result. Very happy weekend for me.

3 Points isn't it? And they are not the only teams we have done it to. We done it to Man U, Man City, Heck we are the team to have the most comeback victories this season.

Not a chance, mate. The general concensus with the Posh fans on a football forum I use is that Mackail-Smith is twice the player McLean is and that MS is a much bigger assett to them.

Fair play if you do get him, but I can't see it happening.

The club itself rate McLean more. If the players put pressure on the asking price, they'll lower. No team wants an unsettled player.

Suppose...

Just heard that their owner (Darragh McAnthony?) is being investigated by the police for dodgy dealings within his time share company. If anything comes of that they'll be skint.
