There's way too many arcades about IMO, it'll be very hard to compete unless your offering something entirely different. A general forum is a very bad idea IMO, if you're wanting to creating a forum then select a unique niche... A tutorials site could be very good if the content of the site is great and I would go against a rare value site, but meh, it's your decision! :P

Thanks for that
And when you say its your decision, its not rly as I would rather make a site that people want rather then a site that I want to make but is basically useless!

It is your decision, make a site that you'll enjoy updating etc. There is always be a market for your site, so I wouldn't worry too much about what 5 or 6 habbox forum members think.

I personally love fansites.

If you could come up with an awesome layout, great content, good staff, and something else that not every fansite has it could be successful. :)

a tut site would be nice, but it would have to be something original.

That's the thing though, coming up with something that not every fansite has is pretty hard nowadays. And if another site does get something, you know there'll be more of it popping up around the place :P.

I like the idea of a dedicated rare values site, useful for habbo.

The thing about rare values is theres allready two main sites which ppl use for rare values, thats habbox and hhgs

And Habbox is famous more for the rare values more then anything else!

Was thinking of making a general forum but I need to think of something that no other forums currently have to appeal to users!

You can always beat someone if you REALY try, and make it 10x better and updated :)
But yeh it would have to be something realy good to change people to use it.

Well, here's my opinion on each.

Tutorials: You'd need a big supply of well written, unique, easy to understand guides. You should also include alot of visual aids. Maybe if you have some sort of talent, you should make guides just for that.
For example: http://www.w3schools.com (Web Design)

Rare Values: Must be extremely up to date, popular staff, flashy (tooltips maybe), and alot of rare giveaways and competitions.
For Example: http://www.habbofurnivalues.com

General Forum: Not a good chance you'll get anywhere. The forum would a need a huge community consisting of kind, helpful, and educated people, which are hard to come across. If anything, try and make one specifically about one topic.
For example: http://www.codingforums.com

Online Arcade: This would be hard to do. Of course you would use games from mini clips, you'd have to make them yourself. I personally like funny type games.
For example: The Impossible Quiz

Debates: Must have quite a bit to keep the community occupied, not just McCain vs Obama and Coke vs Pepsi. :P
No example, wah!!:[

Anyways, good luck & I'd love to hear your decision!

What would you like to see a forum based on as you sed base a forum on one topic!

I also thought about a habbo guide site. Just guides no news etc just guides! ??

You would run out of content pretty quick, and even if you made guides about EVERYTHING, you cant really build a community around that and people wont really be attracted to it. A lot of fansites have guides as an additional feature.

Great point. Maybe a general tutorials site would be good, but you'd need extreme knowledge of unique things people want to know.

And your welcome for breakdown.

Debates site has my vote :P
But, you'd have to find a creative way to do it.
Forums? Unoriginal.
Maybe, a webcast? Between two or more people.
Sounds cool to me!
