Right, I ain't a games geek or anything so I could do with some help.

I went to Comet the other night to get a 360, but the fella in there got talking and he was saying I'd be better off getting the PS3 as they will be the superior console 'til at least 2013 (?). So, I asked him to do me a deal and the best one he could do was this for £364.99;

80gb PS3 (with all the things you usually get with it)
Gold-plated HDmi cable
5yr guarantee/warranty

Now I have no idea whether that's a good deal or not, so is it?

Also, if I were to get one, what would be the must have accessories?

It's alright if you have a HD tv :rolleyes: and 80gb ps3 for that is cheap.

You can get the 80gb on its own for £299 and you don't really need a gold plated HDMI cable. You can get a normal one for £20.

Just looking at play.com - it's £309.99 for a 80gb PS3 with Fifa 09 and £19.99 for a Linx gold-plated HDMI cable (£329.98 altogether).

I'm tempted, but do you know if the console will be under any gurantee or whatever if it breaks?
