I'm supposed to be writing this essay for art right, it's to be on a piece by Scottish contemporary jewellery artist, Dorothy Hogg. But after looking over her pieces they all seem totally crap to me. There's nothing that stands out for me to analyse at all and I'm quickly realising how much total crap, I believe all this 'art' to be. I'm looking at all these pieces, broaches and neck pieces and they all just look so random to me. I'm failing to see how people are meant to look at crap like this;

and see how there could be any inspiration or hidden meaning or anything remotely interesting related to it. I only did art because I enjoy drawing which we do hardly any of and focus solely on design which I find to be total ****e.

What's the essay title/what are you supposed to write about it? Why it looks like that? Why it's random? What it means? You could write loads about it, it depends what you're supposed to be writing...
If it's just 'Write what you think about this jewelry' Just literally write how you think its utter crap... i did that once and got an A*, just because I gave a decent argument why I hated something.

It doesn't have to be that specific piece tho, just a 'piece', one of her many crappy collection. All her work is this minimalistic, modernist ****. I don't know why they force this crap on you when you took art simply because you like drawing and doodle in class. Drives me up the wall seriously.

Sorry mate forgot about this thread, I'm guessing I was too late... But if it's still due, I'd just try research whether she's said anything about her own work, and why she's done it, and write that. If it needs your opinion just say it's crap.
