mkv on PS3

I have a 1080p film in MKV format and I want to know how to play it in 1080p on my PS3 (I have no external or anything)

download a program called mkvtovob

If the video has to be converted, it mill take a very long time to re-encode it in 1080p. A 3.6GHz Quad Core takes around 4 to 5 hours depending on the legnth of the film. A single core proccessor you'd be looking at a day or two.
