Basically, presuming you download music illegally rather than pay for it , how do you do it?
I was talking to some mates today about it and many of them have different methods and I myself had a different one to all of them. I find many people today not using Limewire because they're University cuts off their internet if theyre caught using it. Basically I just find the song I want on YT then rip the audio off the file and convert it to .mp3.

Hows about you? ;)

I get mine by walking into a shop, picking up a album/single the walking to the counter with it, hand it over and pay the money.
Sorry, had to say it. Anyway i do buy SOME of my music. I have all my fave bands albums which i have brought but other music i just download off thepiratebay.org (torrents).

It has no flaws.

Poor quality and lack of choice spring to mind as pretty big flaws.

I torrent, therefore I am.

Well my mum buys a lot of albums which I like, so I'm fine with some.
If I really like an album, I would buy it from the shop.

But I usualy use torrents and limewire like itsBilly :)

Quality suffers on YouTube. Ripping it is not a good idea.

I use Ares to get most of my music. Or I just type 'download ______ free' into Google and a site offering a free download usually pops up. Or I use Dilandau (http://www.dilandau.com/download_music/), that site has pretty much everything.

Limewire for single songs I want. Torrents for full albums. Although I do have a iTunes account and have bought songs of it.

Sack using Limewire. Its monitorred to hell these days. Best way to get caught by your ISP.

I use either fttp downloads, the odd torrent, youtube or myspace.

Was getting 450kb/s last night. Hell of a lot better than I've ever got on a torrent.

Torrents for Albums.
If it's an odd one or two songs then i'll buy them off iTunes, but if the band is not on iTunes then i'll buy the album off them.

Me too! I love Skreemr!

and Instead of limewire you can use MP3rocket. It uses Limewire's interface & same users/downlods but searches much, much quicker.

I'd love to be able to pay for them, but my EMA just doesnt stretch the £18 a week it costs to get to college, and then all my college stuff.
So I just torrent albums. However lately I've been using MP3 blogs for more obscure albums if I can't find a torrent/torrent with seeds/my uTorrent is being an idiot.

Mickster

- Limewire
- Downloads.nl

and if i want to pay, i'll get full albums from:

The difference in Russian currency makes full albums cheap yet legal =]
