Hi,

I want to edit a video.. just one.. and I can't get movie maker to do so as it brings me back an error saying:

The file C:\Users\\Desktop\1224686345.mov cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

I insatlled codec.. but it keeps comign back with that excat error.

Get yourself klite codec pack, even if it doesn't fix this particular issues its gonna prepare you for any other issues in programs such as Sony Vegas.

It's because WMM doesn't take .mov files which I think are something to do wth Apple. WMM only accept .avi and wmv (to my knowledge) :)

Ah might be why :P Well there's a few options that come to my head:

- Download SUPER which converts audio and video files, but it is a bit difficult and tricky to get used to.
- Upload it to Zamzar and convert it to .avi or .wmv, but that may take ages and you can't be certain it'll work

OR

Try Source's option :)

it's a 700mb file lol, it was our jeney to a friends house yesterday and we had no idea where we was going.. it's like an hour long :p

Ummm, lol. Best option would be SUPER but searching through Google gave me this:

I think it's free so could try it :)
