Right hi! I'm 15 and I'm really looking for a part time job. I heard most places are taking on christmas work.. I really have no idea where to go though? I was thinking of working in Game but not sure if they would take on a 15 year old?

Really stuck here, would appreciate some help - thanks :)

18 to work in Game. 16 to work in all shops which don't have their own 18 year old policy. Paper round it is for you.

No they don't. 16 is the minimum age.

16 or 18

not 18, i work for one and i was 16. being a shelf stacker doesnt require any age limit as you dont sell products
it depends on company policy and insurance. I was employed by subway at 15

If you're 16 and work in Game im certain that's not allowed. Any video/game shops have to be 18+ :S

Working in a restaurant or a pub is allowed for your age. You could be a waitor, or a kitchen assistant (dishwasher) or something.
Thats what I did!

Yup. Unless the law or store policy have changed over the last two years, GAME do not employ people who are under the age of 18. When I was under 18, I phoned a number of GAME branches and they all gave the same response.

It's perfectly legal, I can sell anything that isn't 18 rated. Aslong as it's 16- I can sell it.

Then they have changed their policy.

Tesco takes on sixteen year-olds, but if a customer has alcohol or a restricted item (like an 18 rated DVD or game), then another member of staff has to authorise the transaction.

Yeah you don't authorise it anymore, you just can't sell it according to the VSC.
