WotLK World Event - Zombie Invasion
There are many ways to get infected by the plague :


Pick up one of the Suspicious Crate in Booty Bay, trying to loot one will instantly infect you.
Stay in one of the poison cloud used by zombies
Get damaged by a zombie.


When you're infected, you can either run to a nearby Argent Healer or any player who can cure diseases to get it removed .... or you can turn into a zombie by :


Waiting for the end of the timer (10 minutes)
Getting killed by a zombie.
Dueling another player and letting him kill you
Using some of the existing "immunity" abilities like Stoneform, the paladin's bubble, or Ice Block for mages.


After transorming into a zombie, you will only be able to using the following skills :


Mangle! (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=57596) - Increases your next attack by 20 damage and reduces the target's armor by 3%.
Retch! (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=51230) - Retch on the ground! Humanoids in it are slowed and infected. Zombies in it are healed.
Lurch! (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=43949) - You and nearby zombies gain a temporary burst of speed, to help catch your food. Removes any move impairment or crowd control effect.
Beckoning Groan (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=56560) - Beckon up to four zombies to you. They must not be in combat.
Zombie Explosion! (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=56528) - Burst into pieces, destroying yourself but infecting those around you.


As a zombie, your health will slowly decrease over time but it can easily be regenerated by hitting any living targets (beasts, humanoids, etc ...). Any damage dealt to these targets will heal you for a % of the damage. You can also use Retch! (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=51230) on the ground and stay in the cloud to get some additional healing, these clouds are stackable and having multiple zombies stacking them at the same spot will let you regenerate your life in no time.

I was in a raid group wityh 20 other zombies and we killed almost everyone in goldshire. But they kept coming back to kill us and most people are too ******ed to stand in the same lurch and STICK TOGETHER zombies are a gank zerg everyone on one person type unit.

good, u become a zombie and can join with other zombies, and form a raid. Take over cities and such xD. Their dmg output isnt exactly amazing tho.

Oh and when u kill npcs (humanoids) they become a zombie and follow you (if u taunt them) so basically make a huge army.

It's quite iffy though. Blizz upped the levels on guards to 75 in 3.02, leading players to get slaughtered as soon as they get turned into a zombie in the middle.

But anyway, it's meant to get better!

The undead BROKE AWAY from the scourge, as Sylvanas was risen as one then gave Arthas the finger and settled in under Lordaeron. Thus creating a new faction, The Forsaken.
As for the Burning Legion (TBC), how on earth, how on EARTH did that benefit the Horde in any way.

The Scourge are creations of the Lich King, aiming to kill anything other than themselves.
But other than me nerdraging for a moment, I'm looking forward to WoTLK too. Oh and:

Well, new kara boss is today. Few guildies and I went to zerg him, he went down nicely. Dropped a pet (all the raid can get it), and an axe which you can play as a guitar.

oh and also, havent tested this properly, but the more you attack as a zombie on a mob or player (dno about player), the faster the disease goes, so its starts at 2mins but in the end goes to like 1 second and they turn to a zombie.

Aye, it's why you should build up an army before attacking players :p Your dps won't kill them, but the timer will.

I just gathered myself a big army of NPCs in UC, meaning after I used the taunt they'd attack the same guard as me. Might aswell not have been a timer for how quick the guards turned then. Ran into a brick wall though, our big ugly gassy guards are immune to the disease. :(
