Yo

I got Far cry 2, landed early yesterday - I guess GAME loves the new place I've moved to 'ey? But anyways, next week I'll be slaving away over a big giant article on... well I can't say just yet - but it'll be the Big Yearly Debate, except I'm gonna debate with myself.

Anyway, since FC2 is out today - thought this would make a good question - would you take realism over 'fun factor'?

Sometimes the realism can get you immersed in the action, and even make it more fun - after playing Far Cry 2 for a few yours - you start to really get into it: only then you can enjoy it as it is. But a game such as Team Fortress 2 with a abstract art style - can be more... funner...

I pick fun over real, both preferably.

A bit shallower than expected, but the multiplayer is better than I expected.

Ive heard of LOADS of people that after the first few hours/days of playing it, it gets better. :)

Always fun!

The more realistic a game is the more I am wowed by it... but some of my favourite games have been the ones that not many people had but were humungous fun to play and no where near real.

I've been playing FC2 and the realism gets almost annoying at points, your gun jamming halfway through a fight or having to get out and fix your car halfway through a journey... and their definition of real fixing is pressing y and watching a boring animation.
For a FPS, there's a lot of unneccessary non-shooting stuff in it.

I'll take fun over realism thanks, but really I'd have a nice balance.
In the end though these are games, if they aren't fun then what's the point?

I'd rather have both however if not, fun.

definitely fun.

I'm enjoying SR2 quite a bit, and that's pretty damn unrealistic :P

Fun fun. Like Gears 2 has amazing graphics, and it's good, but I get bored of it after a while :O
