New iMacs are out November, no ones sure if they'll be just upgraded hardware or a whole new concept. Pretty sure they'll out November though :P

Macrumors says nothing on this, it is therefore a invalid rumor.
Let us know how that MBP is treating you :)
And welcome to the Mac family, unless you're already in it... :P

Personally i think Mac's are WAY over priced! Thats my opinion.
I mean atm at dell there is a 4g RAM, 320gb harddrive, intel processor T3850 laptop, for £469!

There is never a keynote if they are only upgrading the hardware. They simply do store launches.
Also DJ-Dominator, it's not about how much it costs it's about the quality of the product. Try and find a Dell laptop that is made out of a single piece of aluminum for extra strength. People don't realise just how much you get with an Apple product compared to their competitors. Apple spend so much money on making the small details count, where as everyone else just leaves it if the user will only see it once or twice. Kevin Rose summed it up when he gave the example of the Zune, when you boot a Zune up it has this ugly green loading bar which goes across the screen - almost as if they didn't even bother designing it. Where as when it's an apple product they put the effort in for every little detail and Steve Jobs wouldn't let that kind of thing go on any new Apple product. So you have to look past the basics and look at build quality and effort of beauty.

Actually it's entirely out of my own pocket, I work as a full time web designer so I save up a lot to treat myself with products like this. That's after my rent and any bills. The only Apple product anyone has ever bought me is my old iPod shuffle way back when I was 16.

You have hit the nail on the head. Yes it costs as absolute ton and people may say there overpriced but its just how well built they are that does it for me. As you said every last detail is perfect.

You mean Apple got their logo, resized it in Photoshop then plonked it onto the firmware? :P

It is that easy considering you can do it if you jailbreak it then FTP into it LOL.
I spent like an hour in the apple store today just messing about with the new macbook and macbook pro. They're so awesome. You're a lucky guy, Greg. :(
