Unless you're going to spend £300+ on a good quality kit, don't bother.

about 200+ would do the trick ;)

I have it but only because it was a reconditioned PC from PC world and they had one knocking about so they stuck it on for next to nothing :P I really don't know what difference it makes, I haven't overclocked the processor though so I assume I could probably do that without too much hassle.

@prof: It's just a better cooling system than a fan, completely different, but accomplishes the same task more efficiently.
I'd say it's a good idea for those who are overclocking quite a lot.
Overclocking is very simple, you just need to boot into the bios, but before that google around for instructions for your processor, then you usually change a multiplier I believe.

Not as simple as just changing the multiplier.

I know how to overclock :P i don't plan on overclocking like hardcore, but just putting the 2.4ghz q6600 to 3.6ghz or something near that :)

Get a decent air cooler and save yourself a load of money then.

Ofc but they look ugly, if i got watercooling it wouldnt be for the fact of it having lowered my temps by like 5°C it would be due to the looks.

£200 for a 5c improvement that could be done with a £40 air cooler? No competition IMO no matter what it looks like.

tbh, Watercooling is stupid if your only overclocking your CPU, and then only to 3.6GHz

I'm not getting it for that reason, i'm getting it because it looks alot better than a normal heatsink/air cooling
that's if i choose to get it.
