With the celebrity help of "Mantracker," who arrived Friday night to join the search, police and hundreds of volunteers continued to comb ditches, corn fields and wooded terrain in the rain Saturday morning in hopes of unearthing a clue that could lead them to a missing Barrie, Ont., teen.
Brandon Crisp, 15, has been missing since Oct. 13 when he left home following an argument with his parents over his excessive Xbox video game playing.

Police have been searching a 40 sq.-km zone for the past seven days in an area where Brandon's bike was found and where a witness saw the teen hours after he left home. Microsoft Canada, which makes the Xbox video game system, said Friday it was adding $25,000 to the reward for information that leads to Brandon's whereabouts, bringing the total pot to $50,000.

Sgt. Dave Goodbrand, spokesman for the Barrie police, said Albertan Terry Grant, an expert bush tracker who is featured in the Outdoor Life Network show Mantracker, arrived Friday night to take part in the search.
"He has followed the story for a number of days and he has come to assist with the volunteer party," said Goodbrand.
Grant joined about 400 volunteers from across southern Ontario, some with 4x4s and ATVs, who continued searching for Brandon.
"We have nothing yet. It's a big area to comb, it's raining and it doesn't look like it is going to let up," said Charmaine Nolan, 38, who helped co-ordinate the volunteer search.
Goodbrand said police could be finished their ground search Saturday, making the far more expansive terrain in cyberspace the focus of the investigation.

Police have been working with Microsoft to trace the Internet addresses of everyone Brandon interacted with online while playing his favourite video game Call of Duty 4.

Microsoft put up the $25,000 reward in response from a televised plea by Brandon's father Steve Crisp, who asked the company to do all it could to help police in the cyberspace phase of their investigation.
Police have received more than 1,000 tips, but none have yet led to Brandon. Psychics have also phoned in tips and some have even ventured into the search area.
Barrie is located about 100 kilometres north of Toronto.

Yeah, I seen this here : http://www.thestar.com/article/521731

I was discussing this with Jordy a few days ago and he made the point that the report said he had been playing COD4 for over 18months, which caused arguments and whatnot.. but the game has been out for around a year.. hm.

I love it how they always blame these sorta things on the games etc.

tbh, its all down to bad parenting - all they had to do is limit the time hes allowed before he got addicted to it

So true. They probably didn't do a thing about it and then one day stopped him from playing it completely, which would make him go crazy, understandably.

I can see this happening to someone who plays habbo, they run away because there internet goes off, they later are arrested for stealing 4 virtual world IDs, and attempt murder and rape in the habbo uk office.

This reminds me of the girl that died playing Xbox, something like that, it was posted on Habbox Forum like 7 months ago.

Joking aside, RIP, I just read the report and there doesn't seem to be any mention on how he died or have I missed something?

Barrie is pretty cold pretty much all year, he left home in the Winter so cold weather is a fair assumption.
