View Full Version : RROD Question.
yeah i was unlucky enough to get the RROD today
and i've had a bad week as my 4 month old iPod classic broke on friday
anyway its not even a year old yet so i am wondering:
- Can i take it back to GAME for a replacement as its still under the warranty
- Will i have to give them my harddrive too if so as i have ALOT of DLC on there
thanks x

yep, you can
take your xbox and receipt & boxed with everything and they will give you a new 360 there. Same happened to me about a week ago & instead of giving me a 20gb back they gave me a 60gb because they never had it in stock.

They take it back? :S
Someone said that to me about Gamestation, but its only if you purchased their extended warranty.
If they will exchange it, they should let you keep your HDD if you explain it to them, and they'll take the HDD off've the new console as well.

You have to have Gamecare to take it back.

When you send it back to microsoft you dont have to send the hard drive or faceplates so I assume you don't need to take that back to the shop ?

Microsoft don't sell the XBOX to the consumer ;)

You have to have Gamecare to take it back.
ie an extended warranty. I'd get on the phone to UPS and arrange a pickup. Mine took a week and 3 days from pickup to drop off.

Jord i wouldnt push it lol.
They aren't allowed to sell an xbox that comes with a 60gb hdd without it so the chances of them replacing your xbox and letting you keep your hdd would be slim, but then asking them to give you the £30 difference is pushing it quite far.

Laugh if they said they'll replace it, you turn around ask for £30 and they say "DON'T BE UNGRATEFUL, THAT'S IT SEND IT TO MICROSOFT!".

i'm not gonna be all like "ok can i have the £30 back"
i will just politely ask "because theres £30 there that im not getting - could they do anything for me" - if not idc

Laugh if they then repeatedly slapped you around the shop.

I can guarantee you they won't give you the £30 back. That would be a ridiculous request.
