GTA IV Trophies Out!

I was on the Playstation EU forums and apparently the patch is out. I can't see for myself yet because the game is in my brothers room and he's asleep :P

Unfortunately for those who finished story mode will have to complete it again for some of the trophies. Still, gives u a chance to beat the game in 30 hours :P

I'm going to focus on the story to try and get the 30 hours trophy then i'll do some of the others. I don't want to waste my time trying to get a bronze trophy when I could be getting a gold one by doing the story quickly.

How d'you get tha tone :(

You use the furthest lane to the left and take 2 steps to the left. This is the hard bit. You have to bowl the ball so it is around 18-19mph and make sure you don't put any spin on it. It should be just right and should get you a strike everytime.

I'm trying for the chain reaction trophy I nearly did it but blew myself up before i blew 10 cars up so it didnt count :P

Editor's Note:There seemed to have been a little bit of confusion, as we were initially told that this achievement would be viral. Unfortunately, we got word official word from our friends at Rockstar that this will actually not be the case, so you'll just have to try and find one of the developers online if you want to get this achievement!

but when I loaded my old game, it said trophies don't work so I'm guessing that's why, but Apeel said he's doing them with his current save?? So if they work there, why not mine

Well when you get you turn you get to throw three darts. Throw them in that triple 20 bit and it adds up to 180.

For the 30 hour one, thats just the main storyline missions, right?
What percentage do they go up to - isn't it something like 72?

Yes it is. I think it's around 65-75%. If you've played through the game before just skip all the cutscenes and phonecalls. I always take taxis and skip the journey if I have to travel long distances.

You're doing better than me i'm on 15 hours on 45%. I have been messing about trying to get other trophies though. I Just did the Derrick mission where you have to chase that guy from Burger Shot. I'm dreading the one where you have to get away from the police in that van. Tunnel of Death or something.

The ones I found hard last time are really easy this time :@
The one where you chase chubby charlie through that sprunk or whatever factory took me ages last time, first try this time. And with three leaf clover, and god knows how many others. Its all too easy!
I've got a few other trophies between, but I think all of those were ones you get from the storyline anyway.
This time I'll get 100% aswell, not missing out ONE pigeon and not bothering to go every where again :)

I'm so unlucky. I'm doing diamonds are a girls best friend. First time I went into the mission low on health so died. Second time I did it but as I was driving back I accidently flipped the car and it went into the water. Packie wouldnt come out of the water and eventually died. Third time on the way there I was going to take a short cut and ended up with the car on its side. If this keeps happening to me i'll never do it in 30 hours. :(

I did that before I unlocked the third island. I took a helicopter and just flew in the air for 5 mins. I have 3 more missions now. I'm waiting for UL Paper to call me about Darko.

I got the rolled over one yesterday :D

Just went to the airport in a taxi, went over the ramps. Think its just hit and miss getting it really, It took me about 15mins to get it. Managed to get it after just tapping a ramp and ended up stopping on the side of my car, didnt even do a roll :P

I got mine in a police car :D My original car got blown up so i quickly ran to one of the police cars and took it.

yeaah i had to do that at one point, also a tip to people: If your ages away from the airport, just go to ur mobile and select the sixaxis tutorial, then when its loaded it up quit the tutorial on the phone and u end up outside the airport :)

yeaah I did the jump with the 4star wanted level :P they never catch you if you keep going up and down the runway at speed.

This was my way: Go to heli tours, steal copter, fly over locked island get 6 stars, keep flying in the air back and for, no one shoots you :P

I just stayed in the same spot in the air until I saw police helicopters on the map then I moved a bit until they were gone.

I don't get the Heli tours trophy. What do you have to do? How do you take all the variations?

theres 5 spots, the one heli pad on the far left isnt ever used so ignore that one. Uve gotta take each other helicopter, dont skip the tour and wait till your guy gets out at the end dont manually press triangle, becuase then it doesnt count.

& another way to get the 6 star wanted level one is to get onto the train line at some point and cross into an unlocked city.

if you make a new save to get some trophies (6 star one for me) will it still count on my account?
