Looks good, but I really can't understand why they'd have an attack on the burrow like that when it wasn't even in the book... :S

Because the first half of HBP is pretty slow paced, plus from what I've read they didn't want a major battle at Hogwarts so they moved parts of it to the Burrow. Not sure if that's totally correct, but that's from people that have previewed the film.

That's stupid imo - though I do agree with HBP being slow paced at first. The cave scene with the horcrux and the first battle of Hogwarts made the book for me, and I know they 'don't want to repeat themselves' by having two battles of Hogwarts (HBP, DH) but they're essentially two different wars - one being the final battle of hogwarts... and well I wouldn't want to spoil the movie and tell everyone the reason why the 'first war of hogwarts' occured.
That looks amazing. Can't wait. Thanks for posting. :D

I'm going to see it when it first comes out. I hate the books, not that much of a fan of Harry Potter - But I'm dressing up as the guy with blonde hair.. So that's what counts.

Books are way better :D I must admit, before I read Harry Potter I hated reading books - and after reading Harry Potter I still hate reading books... but the HP Series was just amazing :)

Oh wow the film looks awesome. I seriously can't wait.
Lucy - The film was sceduled for November 2008, however it was postponed a few more months for problems they were having. I thought I was gonna be able to see it in Florida (cinema tickets are half price, can't resist a bargin!) this Christmas, then it was put back even longer.

Filming began on 24 September 2007 and the film was originally planned for a UK and US release on 21 November 2008, but on 14 August 2008, it was announced that the release date for the film was to be pushed back to 17 July 2009. Like the previous film, the sixth film will be simultaneously released in regular cinemas and IMAX 3-D.
Don't think I can wait much longer, however I do prefer the books.
I finished the books when they came out, so I've forgotten what happened, the movies are gonna rock though. :)

I think I'm gunna hate this movie like I hated the book - it makes Hermione seem as a lesser character, not as strong as she used to be; won't tell you why, might spoil the movie so I think it's best left unsaid.

I totally hate emma watson. Her acting has become really poor and I laugh at her OTT reactions , "IM NOT AN OWL!"

Yeah, I'll have to agree with you there - even though she is my favourite actress, haha. The 'I'm not on a owl' scene is kinda one of my favourite throughout the whole HP series just because of the hilarity it brings each time. The eyebrows though are an absolute classic. E.g. when they're on the Hogwarts express going to Hogwarts in GOF, her eyebrows start having a fit and all she's saying is something like 'you must tell Sirius'. Put that aside though and imo shes an alright actress.

I think they did it to make the film more exciting or something but, seriously, what are they gunna do in the next film for Bill's wedding? Lmao, they'll be no Burrow left, but they've probably thought it all out.

I thought Hagrids' house burning down was part of the book. :S
This one looks a lot better than the previous films, and I'll definetly be going to see it next year, but I don't have high hopes.
I've always hated the Harry Potter films.

Loads of the trailer is in the book... The only major scene that has been added is the burrow fight. Hagrid's Hut being burnt is shortly after Snape escapes and Hagrid puts it out with Aguamenti and his pink umbrella...
Of course, little scenes are added because the book has numerous non speaking parts. Such as what Harry is thinking - you can't show that in a film, it'd just be silence.
I'll definetly be going to see it next year, but I don't have high hopes.I've always hated the Harry Potter films.
why go see it if you hate the films?

Oh btw I read somewhere that the battle at the astromy tower is short, there is no funeral shown in the movie for dumbledore. I wonder what would have happened if Disney won Harry Potter?

The Astronomy scene is the only one that's likely to annoy me. In the book, Harry is frozen under his invisibility cloak in the same area as Dumbledore is, but in the film, according to the people that have seen it, he's on the floor beneath and watches what happens through the floor boards >.<
I was really annoyed with the OotP film because the death scene was so short, I hope they don't do the same in HBP.
As for the funeral, I heard a rumour it'd be in the 1st part of Film 7, but I don't see how that will work. Meh.

No... I've read the book numerous times...

When Dumbledore gets hit by Avada Kedavra it says he goes over the battlements at the side of the castle... Harry - who was with Dumbledore jumps the last 10 stairs of the tower as he runs after Snape... I'm VERY sure Dumbledore gets killed in the Astronomy tower and falls out...
I did get the final scene of Deathly Hallows wrong though... I was reading so fast I thought it took place on the school grounds outside of the entrance, but it takes place in the Great Hall :P

The main (there are a few things to be truthful) thing bad about the films is that they make Dumbledore surprised about the dark magic being used/turn of events. In the book, he has known exactly what is going on, he knew that there were horcruxes for years. E.g, when he tells Haryr he suspected the destroyed diary to be a horcrux, that reveals that for years before that even in his second year he suspected horcruxes. He is never surprised by anything that has happened, he has always been steps ahead, they discredit his intelligence majorly in the films. That is something I don't like. They make him too forceful. I like the way his hair is silvery white in this film since he looks way too young in 3/4/5 where they had that new actor. There is so much to say, but i do think that the trailer looks great and the film should be good.
I just hate the way dumbledore is made to look weaker and dumber than he really is by a long way. He is very omniscient in the books and is not in the films. And the fact that there is no war in hogwarts... it's what causes dumbledores death. It is very needed. Just as much as the DH war is.
EDIT: Dumbledore and harry fly back to hogwarts after seeing the dark mark over the astronomy tower. Dumbledore is weakened majorly by the potion protecting the horcrux in the cave 'by the sea' and gets disarmed by draco malfoy and killed by severus snape, gets lifted up and falls to the bottom of the tower. JK even says that people huddled around a body at the bottom of the 'lightning struck tower'
I just read in the guiness world of records Harry Potter ATPS made 98 million on its first opening weekend and the Harry Potter OOTP only made 77 million, if they want more money, then they should wise up and sstart following the "real" storyline, not the friggen burrow getting burnt down

OOTP was so far out from the book's story, haha. It left out so much and changed quite a bit too - like the bit where Cho tells Umbridge about the DA when it was actually Cho's friend.
