So yeh, i reset my whole computer + assessories, Ie: Printer router etc, And then i hear a high pitched noise coming from the router.
Anyone know why / how to fix this? It works fine, but its just this annoying high pitched thing going all the time.
And when packets are being recieved, the pitch changes.
Thanks. Swinkid.

Tried just unplugging it for a good few minutes so that it can cool down?

Have you tried contacting the brand of the router and asking them?

Nice pointless post
@ OP any avail?
I would not worry about it too much. It is most likely coming from a capacitor or inductor inside the router. My graphics card, for example, produces a high pitched squealing sound when under heavy load.
Disconnect your PPPOE, I cant tell you how to do it as its router specific if your confused to a factory setting restore on the router and reconfigure it for the network.
Although I will be honest with you this is a common issue in some of these cheaper routers from belkin and D-link.
