View Full Version : The Mail [+Rep]
I posted a birthday card to my auntie yesterday because she lives down near London and I live up north. I posted it 1st class because I knew that 1st class always usually gets there the next working day but she said that she never got it. I posted it on last pick up last night and gave it to the actual post woman because she was at the post box collecting the mail. Will it of gotten lost or is it just normal? There was nothing in it like money or anything important except the card but I would still like her to get it. So if anyone could explain why she hasn't got it and how long it could take for it to get to her then I would be very thankfull! :)

It might have been because it was the last post. She'll definately get it soon, don't worry. :)

it's first class but it doesn't guarantee next day delivery, it can take up to 3 working days.

Just leave it 2 more days and after that I'd just assume it's been lost or stolen. Thousands (if not millions) of birthday-cards get stolen every year, it's easy enough to spot birthday-cards and they often contain cash meaning they're often stolen in hope they contain cash.
In future try putting the card envelope inside a business envelope so then it hides what it is, or you could just put sellotape across the seal of the envelope, however this doesn't necessarily mean it won't be stolen.
