Hi

I'm 13 (going on 14), and i'm lookin into a card (debit or prepay), that can be used in most shops with chip and pin.

I'm wondering what choices are available, i notice there is solo and electron, but i don't want one of them, since alot of shops i go in don't accept them. So i'm wondering if theres any others i can own?

Thanks
Luke

I have a Visa debit card which I can use in shops to but things, on the internet to buy things and to get money out using a hole in the wall/cash machine.

If i can't find anything else, then i think i'll go for it, as i've gone on other shops, and found a majority of them accept it

I got mine at Lloyds TSB. To get a card you'll have to go to the bank and order an appointment with the manager. It's easier than doing it online.

For a debit card i wouldnt suggest going to nationwide as ive already enquired about a debit card and they said you have to be over 18. Halifax is your best bet where you can get an expresscash card (Visa electron), but its up to you what bank society you go with :) just some might not offer that service :)

Nope don't think so, all you need with you is your birth certificate and a utility bill proving where you live

when i was younger i had a solo card and it was fine but now i've got a visa and use the company's amex business card. there's little point if you don't have a job or anything as you won't have that much to put in, you're better off with cash anyway lol.
