IMO I think it's silly having moderators moderating a section which they don't even post in.

e.g in the sports sections we have Biohazard, Slowpoke and Shawnsta which is really stupid to be honest because I don't think I've ever seen any of them post in that section before? I think it would be a good idea to have someone who posts regularly in that forum who should moderate it.
e.g someone like Aflux, Geriant or zMalouda is the sports section.

And it's not just like that for this section i'm pretty sure in the music section Johno! and CHA!NGANG don't post there either and i'm sure theres more.

ps. this isn't having a go at any of the above moderators above, it's just to help me get my suggestion across.

Sport is part of the general catorgry so the moderators of general may post elsewhere. Moderators do post in the sections that they moderate as that's part of the job, well something that is expected.

Well I don't think I've seen any of those post in the sports sections before, especialy not shawnsta or w/e i've never even heard of him :S
Yes they do edit posts in there, but surely they should post there too since it is a section that they moderate?

Yeah, but sometimes it maybe doesn't interest them as much. Like they may post in Discuss Anything or fashion but they make the effort.

Okay, sorry I didn't realise they moderated the whole batch of sections I thought it was just that particular forum.

Yeah I think general is probably a harder one to post everywhere in because all the forums are so different if you get me. Whereas sections like Teen Life, the forums are pretty similar.

Yeah I suppose.
Sorry for the mis-understanding :P

I do post in General, it's probably the section I use the most. I tend to only post in Sport if something actually interests me since I don't know a whole hell of a lot about it (just Football mainly). I suppose I'll make an effort though! :D

Hmm, quite a good point but generally its not a part of a moderators job in that they have to post in the section they moderate.. :)

Actually it is a part of their job to post in the forums they moderate but like ,jess, said it is hard to post in all subforums of your particular placement. For instance if you were in general you may not like sport but you like the other sections so you post there, that means you are posting in your forum. :)

Mm yeah I understand what you mean but you don't necessarily HAVE to, especially if you know nothing about the forum your moderating. I understand sometimes you get a choice on what forum you wish to moderate in but other times you just get placed there regardless if you like/dislike it, know alot about it/ you don't know anything..

Am I correct?

Also, I know its hard to post in every sub-forum as I have moderating experience aswell as both a Moderator, Super Moderator and Forum Manager.

Generally you only get placed in forums you are likely to post in... and at habbox it is required to post in your forum as much as possible, its one of the things you are "marked" on... if you get me :D

Very, very rarely. I always check which sections they'd prefer to moderate with them before they start, in fact generally moderators are chosen to moderate a section BECAUSE they post in it :P The only times someone will be in a section they don't particularly like is when the section they'd like is full up with moderators and they are always offered the opporunity to switch to that section should a moderator of the section leave. Its very much a two way conversation rather than "here's a section, live with it" :)

Well there isn't much point having a moderator such as geraint, aflux like you suggested if they might not be good at moderating, but I see what you mean though, I guess there isn't enough people they feel are good enough to moderate the sports section that post regularly in there.

I post in that section now that I am a mod though. I was also a mod beforehand in the entertainment section but I only posted a lot there when I was a moderator. I do like technology anyway so thats why I agreed to moderate it :)

I don't even understand why slowpoke is even a mod, he is useless. I've also never seem him post in there before.

Would make sense, however Aflux is bannned, and gariant hates the English (self confessed) so that wouldn't work well.

I think somebody like you should moderate the forum, afterall Sunderland do need a bit of light. ;)
