Not many graphics cards have HDMI - Can't you use the VGA interface?

Use the VGA input and change the resolution to the native res of the TV. It will look much better than HDMI as i was dissapointed with the quality with a HDMI connetion to a PC on a HTCP I built for a friend. Use VGA.

Yeah - you don't need a HDMI cable to view HD content. HDMI is just another version of DVI only it carries audio as well as video in the same cable. Quality wise they are exactly the same.

Nah, DVI is much beter than HDMI imo. The quality of a signal over HDMI deteriorates rapidly as you increase the length of the cable as well.

No. Just VGA it and set the TV as a secondary monitor with your desktop extended to it. You have a graphics card with two outputs right?
