On the Sulake blog there are a new post about security, and they are saying that they have worked together with the FBI to find a person in the US who had been harassing Habbo.

As an example of recent activities, we did an extensive search with the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to find a person in the USA who had been harassing our Habbo service and its customers for a long time.
But read more here: http://www.sulake.com/blog/entries/2008-10-29_Taking_serious_action_to_fight_against_internet _crime.html

It's not stupid..

Stealing a Habbo's furniture is as bad as going into there home and taking money.

It's good there actually starting to take action against it to secure our safety.

I don't think it's as bad as going into someones house and taking money, thats a exaggeration. The majority of furni hasn't even been bought by the customer, it's often won/scammed in casinos.

How do you figure that.

Sulake makes a lot of money from selling credits to us as the customers there fore we buy items, that could or have been stolen from us. Theoretically its as bad as stealing from some ones house. But because its online we dont see it as the same situation. Stealing is stealing which ever way you cut it and im glad they are dealing with the issues. It might sound stupid the FBI getting involved but remember there is lots of different departments who deal with different sectors of crime in the world, so the department dealing with this sort of crime could just be based with online fraud/stealing.

tbh, it might not seem a serious offence, but if you think about it... it actually is... your illigally gaining property of someones possesions.

fbi have fraud units, who will specialise in chat rooms and internet.
and they will trace the hackers down like gary glitter in a nursery.

i want to see a 'leet hacker' crying. :'(
