Oh what, I was looking forward to Friday Night with Jonathon Ross as well :(

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7696714.stm

Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand are to be suspended and all their shows taken off air until the BBC has investigated their prank calls made on Radio 2.
It follows a series of calls made by the pair to actor Andrew Sachs on Brand's Saturday night programme.
The actor, 78, said he would not be reporting the matter to police.
Meanwhile, Brand has told reporters: "It would be silly of me to speak without thinking because that's caused all this trouble in the first place."

This hole problem sounds bigged up by the media with things like, "Mr Sachs said he was going to hang himself", How ridiculously stupid.

ITV are loving it lol. All on the news yday and day before they kept making sly remarks about the 'schoolboy error looking presenters and organisation' and stuff.

TBH they did take it too far though, and whether or not they deserve to be suspended - who cares - they are both a pain in the crack, and it'll be a better place without their overpaid, not funny and simply arrogant opinions and idea of humour for a while.

But no doubt if they are fired altogether, another network would snap them right up.

Why are they getting suspended? I thought the bbc saw it before it was broadcasted and approved of it.

Totally blown out of proportion, I got the podcast and found it hilarious tbh :D

Sachs has said he has had apoligies, which he did not ask for and said he accepts them.

Brand and Ross where having a laugh, its their jobs.

Sachs granddaughter is a softcore stripper/actor fgs. She loves it. She was around his house with the other 'Satanic *****'.

Brand can have a radio show on 4Radio or another TV show on C4.

It's been blown out of proportion way too much.

I hope Ross doesn't decide to leave the BBC or gets fired...

I've listened to the clip and I don't think it was too bad. Many people are blowing it out of proportion, many people are only complaining because its all over the papers.

Its Brand's and Ross's personalities and they most probably took it a bit over the top but at the end of the day. They have apologized and he has accepted.

Now, get over it.

It's really not funny and I have the best sense of humour out of everyone I know.

Russell has now resigned from BBC, Jonathan is still suspended.

"1830 GMT: The total amount of complaints passes 27,000. "

This is getting silly now :P I think people are just seeing how many people have complained and jumping on the bandwagon thinkin' "Oh, I'll complain too!"

when the original thing aired they only got like 2000 complaints, then it jumped from 9000 to 18000 and 27000, i bet some of the people complaining haven't even heard it :S

imho ross won't get fired, he's to much of a major part of the BBC, and if he does he'll be snapped up by ITV and the BBC know that.

brand on the other hand still had other radio shows, his tours and of course ponderland

I think that the whole thing has been completely blown out of proportion. It wasnt a very wise thing to do, but, god they're taking it so seriously, Sachs himself isnt even that fussed.
