hi, i am 14 and taking a medication called Medikinet XL (i think) its a tablet for ADHD kids and behavioural difficulties.
Now one of the side effects are Emotion Highs and lows.
I have been feeling, when i HAVENT been taking my tablets or once they have wore off, i am really despressed and upset when my moms at work.
i aint the social type.
I took my meds today and i felt ok up until 6 (which is when they normally wear off) when my mom left for work, when she left i was upset and really worried, i am worried for her safety, (what if sumit happens) and everything reminds me of her, eg, stuff she owns, stuff she'd bought me so on..
Should i seek medical advice?
and if so, how can i go about talking, i dont think my mom knows.
Also, every 10 minmutes i just cry, its weird.

Most likely the meds or you just miss your mom, ask the doctor who perscribed them to you and tell them how you feel when she leaves the house. Could also be puberty, just ask your doctor and mention it all.
To talk to your mom about it just say it straight, you et terribly upset when she leaves, you worry etc. ask her to take you to the doctor about it.

1 - ADD and ADHD are the stupidest things I've ever heard. Just becuase you dont pay attention and you cant behave doesent mean you have a disease. It means your immature and have no self control
2 - Get life, go get a friend and hang out wiht them, get your mind off your mom and go party like realy people do. Dont come on a forum looking for pity because your not gonna get it.

Lol, that would be pretty cool to have a girlfriend who cried every 10 minutes, then I will know we can be together longer because I would be her shoulder to cry on!
Sorry, not relevent lol.
When you get lonely when your mamma isn't home, go on Habbo as your not the sociable type, get to know people on their, finding a friend in someone, even online can help people alot.
But if your not that sad, go find a friend outside, just walk by someone and start talking to them randomly, even if it has to be at the bus stop, just do it, end of the day.
It was worth a try!

Its obviously a disease when the people with medical certificates class it as one. I'd like to see you pass med school.

ADD/ADHD does exist. Scientifically proven.
I'd speak to your doctor about it. It may be this medication isn't the right one for you, I was taken off them because the side effects were too severe, I'm very sensitive to them.
