PS3 - system hard disk file is corrupted & will need to reformat

I just got this message when I turned on my PS3. What the hell?

might be coz u downloaded a virus
erm before you reformat it i'd get in contact with some one from Sony :)

It could've gave me a warning to backup my data before I was given a warning to reformat the HDD. :(

well thats why they make memory cards for the PS3 (i think)

I've never seen them. I'm gonna try and take the HDD out.
