This is for everyone who uses ClubHabbo Forum.



After several weeks of work on the forum, and several attempts at bringing the forum back, we've not actually managed to stamp out the problem which is causing the forum to be accessed. We've decided to close the forum until we've found a solution, which means that there is no date set for the return of the forum.

Until further notice, ClubHabbo Forum is closed. We do wish to re-open the forum, but don't ask us when it's opening because we don't know.

We would like to apologise to all of the users of the forum, and hope that we can resolve the issues and hopefully restore the forum. However, at this current moment in time, ClubHabbo doesn't have a forum, but rest assured we're working on a solution and may even arrange a tempory solution.

It's not that hard to make a forum secure :/ How do people keep accessing that forum?

Somebody has probably put in a backend somehow. Just replace all the default vBulletin files and they should be fine if they haven't edited the files.

Better than closing it down or having no forum will he works out a solution.

Easy solution :
Delete the whole forum
Remove all the add-ons that have been installed and then
Import a old SQL database with user details

Easy enough.

Surely deleting the whole forum, then re-installing it would solve the problem? After that, they can add the forum database. Or they can somehow comb over the files and pick out the rogue one. It's still pretty poor of them to keep getting hacked when it's usually easy to solve.

It's also very annoying when members say "You don't know how hard it is to solve" when they don't know how easy it is :P

How about you get a new host and upload a copy of vBulletin with no addons/mods, then upload the last Mysql backup? (and then unban me, its not my fault. you let me look in your staff forums.)

The forums been reinstalled and a old database has been added several times now. We have moved host and are restoring the database (again) as we speak.

Why don't you go through usergroups, access masks, see if anyone is hiding anything.. any rougue users that have access to the Admin CP.

Check the config files, who are the super admins? Etc.

All these things can determine the problems..

I'm not sure I understand. So long as you have the forum database or a backup, how hard can it be to fix? At worst you can re-install vBulletin, then import everything with Impex.

In a way he is making money from the site itself.. People buy VIP etc all the time.. and he dosen't need to waste any of his money keeping it up and i wouldn't be suprised if he is making a bit of money out the site.. so why would you close something that is getting you money.
