Hey, well I've bought a sony ericsson w200i from the UK, it's locked to Orange (PAYG). I'm back in Spain and I want to use my Spanish Orange sim card it in - when I put it in and enter the PIN, it says "enter correct sim card" or something similar.

Is there anyway I can use my Spanish orange sim on the phone?

If not then is there any software I can use to unlock it?

Thanks.

If you're not going to post anything that'll help me then don't post at all. I've looked around and I don't think it's possible, but if it is then post some links.

Whoever suggests something and it works I'll buy them 1 month V.I.P. - only if it works though (if I get it working).

Go to a shop and get it unlocked should be quite cheap. :) x

the reason is... and this is like CD's
you are using a UK phone with a Spanish sim
you cannot do it as they mix
you would need a UK sim with a UK phone
or a Spanish sim in a Spanish phone :)

As someone has already said, it should be pretty cheap to go to a shop and get it checked out. You could also try ringing Orange and asking them for help or failing that you might find something that could be helpful on the help and support section on there website http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/selfservice/index.jsp (http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/selfservice/index.jsp). Hope you sort out your problem soon. :)

I can't find a link but SETool 2 Lite should work. I've unlocked a few Sony Ericsson phones with it :)

Tracked it down here (http://www.topsony.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6823), I've downloaded it and it looks like what you need. I'd upload it but I have such a terrible upload speed and I'm short of time. Good luck Tom :) (hope I've got that right, it's been a while ;)).

I don't think you can unless your phone is quadband (totally made that up? :Slol)

You can do it if it isn't quad/dual band.

I've been doing research and I've found out that the phone has to be a certain thing, blah blah.
