Im not sure if this is the right section or not, but I'll post it anyway.

When I try to register on the Barclays website so I can bank online, it asks me for my '3 digit security code'. I don't even know what that is because at first I thought they meant my PIN but thats 4 digits. I clicked on help and it says;

Help with security code http://www.personal.barclays.co.uk/brcimg/sp.gif Enter the last three digits printed on the signature strip on the back of your Connect/Electron card. This is also known as the CVV or CVC.

http://www.personal.barclays.co.uk/brcimg/sp.gif

But there is no last 3 digits on the signature strip at all? Unless they mean my card number which ends in 005. I tried putting 005 in but it says it's wrong. Any ideas? ;(

Is your card barclays connect?

Edit: Well Sign the card take it to your local branch and then ask whats wrong with it. They might have to stamp it or whatever, you got the exact same card as me - but I can't remember what they did to myne.

But in the letter with the card it does ask for you to sign it. So before you go get it checked out, sign it.

It's probably a cashpoint card and not a debit card.

The slip you have to sign is for the Pin code as far as im aware, thats what it was with Natwest, I had to sign a slip that came with the card, send it back to them and then they sent me the pin.

True dat

It hasn't got a Maetro, Solo, Visa etc... symbol on it, therefore it isn't a debit or credit card

Additionally if you are under 16 you can't have online banking (Which I assume you are else you would have a proper Connect card) with Barclays.

Also I suggest you remove that picture of your card as with a little bit of editing your card number can be read with ease.

I have online banking with Halifax Expresscash (16 and under account with Visa Electron)

Hence why I said "with Barclays", I was not talking about Halifax. Also the Barclays give you a Visa Debit card (Which you can get if you get parental permission) which is superior to the Visa Electron.

Most banks require you to be 16 for online banking, we phoned up Natwest today to see if they could do it now (im 15) but they couldn't :(

Lol I did my banking online when I was 14 with natwest. I changed my dob to make it im 16 LOL. They never did anything. It still works now :D

ooh and I have the same barclays problem. One thing you can do is go to your local branch with your parent/guardian and ask for them to give you a debit card. However you automatically get one wen ur 16. :]
Im gtin myn in december. But if ur in a hurry then go see ur local branch :)
