Ok the story begins yesterday at work the two top rows of icons touch sensitivity has failed, hardware failure, anyway just off the phone will Apple mum is taking it to a o2 store today, it's covered by warranty so I get whatever needs done for free however in the response email which we printed off he claims it's probably better to replace than repair so for all I know I might get a free 3G from this, will inform later tonight once mums back from o2 store :)

Haha. I have an iPod Touch 1G, and its in for repair (keeps crashing and rebooting for no reason) and I have my fingers crossed its a memory problem (or something they will replace the device for) so I get a 2G :)
