View Full Version : Regarding the 'Description' of the forum named 'Old Forum Games'
Well, the description says something along the lines of 'Play games here' ... But now you can't as its a locked forum. So it makes no sense so maybe change it to something like, 'These are the games played before the new rules where put into place.'
Nothing big but still...

To save making another thread on this I might aswell post here.
With the whole Old Forum Games section being locked is there any real need in it being there at all?

Yeh to preserve post counts and as an archive!

An archive of old games, for people to look through and re-create?
Waste of space imo.

If they were deleted all posts in there would be pruned, don't you think that would cause a bit of hassle?

Really pointless archive when no-one is insane enough to go have a look through the amount of spam. If they really have to keep the forum to preserve the amount of post counts, they may aswell hide it from view...
I still think they may aswell delete the posts, if people moan about the thousand or so posts they've lost, then it goes to show they only enjoyed that forum for the post counts, and not the point behind it. Just to be mean :P

I have to agree with Gomme here, its pointless showing us it, ither hide the forum and just delete it, the posts arnt really needed.

We're leaving it there for a little bit if people want to pick up the games, for example if there was a nice one word story and they want to pick it up where they left off, then we want to give them that opportunity. After about a month we'll hide it because it will be pointless.
By the way, I agree that we should delete it, and if it wasn't for the circumstances I would. However past GMs have promised that we wouldn't remove post counts and I feel that we have to at least try to keep the promises made by Habbox when we can, even if it was a past GM so that everything isn't completely up in the air and there's some substance to the promises made. Like if we said the rank system won't change for four years and then the next GM randomly decided to increase the post counts to get Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Platinum, then that General Manager's promises mean less, if you get what I mean.
That's not to say that everything that was done by past GMs will be continued, but when possible to accomodate past promises we will make every effort to do so. But in the end we will do what is best for the forum.

Oh I realize I didn't respond to the original question, yeah forgot about that, changed it to reflect that it was an archive :)

I think you should make a duplicate of the old forum games and disable the post count in the duplicate while keeping the post count in the original, therefore people can just continue the games that were there rather than recreating them.
