Wow this is really cool :). Say I download this, can I just open it in any website editing software and I'll easily be able to edit the text etc etc as it says?

Oh and if I opened one of the files in Paint or whatever (let's say one of the blue bits for example), and I changed its colour and saved it, would this in turn replace this part in the overall layout?

When you download the file, open it in a web browser (IE, Safari, Firefox, etc) to view it. To change the text, you have to open it in notepad, find where it is, then change it.
Yes, if you change the colors in paint it will change on the layout, but if you change the length or width, you have to change the coding too.
