Had it on Monday and I loved it. Can't wait to go again, and I'm gutted that I've got to wait a whole week to go driving again. I wasn't fantastic, but I didn't crash which is a bonus. Sort had felt like a long wait as I was 17 in April, but my provisional took 10 weeks to arrive :( Then I had to wait another month before my instructor could fit me in.

I found my driving lessons horrible my instructer was a right **** he wouldn't let me book my test for months and I went and booked one anyway and passed first time..

Didn't enjoy my lessons to the end because as it was closer to my test, my instructer kept making me feel baaaaad over simple mistakes I made (not the best thing to do amirite?). But overall it was alright, very glad I don't have to pay for them again ;p

I might have one more lesson before my full test, taken way longer than it should of though, been doing them over a year now I think xD

good luck with that as you will probably need more to stick to the regulations

well whatever, the minimum.

There isn't a minimum, but you'll probably need more with an instructor because there's sa fair bit of stuff you have to do that barely anyone does after their test and forget about and the test is constantly getting harder and more picky, so stuff your dad did on his test and passed it, may fail him if the same happened on a test now. You'll be able to pick up most of the general driving stuff of him and get a load of practice, but you'll need at least 5 lessons with an instructer i'd say. My friend did a similar as you plan on doing and had 2-3 lessons with an instructor and failed, and a few more and failed then passed like 3rd/4th time after about 10 lessons. Hias driving was good but it was the little picky bits he failed on.

i've had 17 lessons and the average for a teen is expected to be about 20 odd due to high standards now.

I can see your point too. Once you get passed that, it gets really boring. Thank God I passed :P

it's such a relief when you pass your test, it's an amazing feeling.

Cant really go 'Learning' yet as I'm 15 but I can already drive pretty good. Step Dad used to take me like 4-5 times a week and I'd just practice on country roads by myn, took me longer to get the bite of the acceleration and clutch but once that's conquered it's pretty easy. Now I practice 3 Point turns and reversing into car spaces. I want to ace my test as soon as possible.
