Music requires artists and labels, which we don't have time as of yet to approach for any form of partnership let alone get them to agree to uploading their songs. We're applying all our time to getting the site's look, system and appeal up. This is why we're going to be creating this podcast to show the users we're following the community and trying to communicate with them as much as possible.

You don't need to have. You can say that you don't like a brand of Coke yet I bet you couldn't make one better. Stop being so naive and start accepting criticism. It's better than receiving praise anyway so you shouldn't be complaining.

I wasn't agreeing with him, I was just telling you how it is. I also never said anything about constructive - I said it's nice to know what people think and if it's criticism (constructive or not) then that can only be a good thing because you can improve and make it better than what it is. I'm no-one to tell you what to do and I never said that either, I'm just telling you there's no need to be naive and ignorant as you were in that post.

It's a bit harder than it sounds? :P
I think we're looking into getting some more content on to the site soon, but I'm not too sure at the moment really as we're focusing on getting one of the main fundamental sides of the site online and working (services).

Also, what do you mean by custom profiles? We've just removed our HTML filter (we have a whitelist of html tags) to allow you to have a bit of fun with your profile until the skin editor is released in the near future (I hope :P!).

Confirmation, for my own sakes really.

Excuse me? James has a profile on YouMeO that he tries to keep active, Pete has talked about us on his marketing business' website and Paul is listed as a director for the company.

As for Sree, he's out-sourced so good luck on getting him to come to the offices...(feel free to pay for his flight if you want to :))

Well of course it's harder :P I wasn't talking overnight, perhaps a month or two away :) Yeah it would be good to see more content on the site as all I see at the moment when I login is my friend updates - It would be cool to have site updates and events in local areas etc.

Custom profiles would be in the range of being able to change the background to changing text to changing the header colour of the site etc :) Would add a "personalized" effect to YouMeO.

Also what HTML commands are there? :)

Awfy

Skinning your profile is going to be a little more advanced, but advanced as in making it easier for you to use. We want to keep styling pretty limited for now until we can safely say the profiles won't be changing code wise and we have some form of editor out - otherwise all your hard work would be lost if we were to update the coding of the profile (HTML or CSS). It may be a while away but it will make things a whole lot better for everyone instead of just designer and/or coders.

Also anyone who was having navigation issues in Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2 should now be pleased that it's working correctly. Just had some really fiddly bits that just wanted to play hard ball.

Also would like the say for our first "Pilot" episode of the podcast we've not had bad views with 105 plays between the 5th and 6th. Sure it's not into the 100's of thousands but it's an alright start.

It doesn't matter if I haven't proved myself, I can still give my opinion. If I think something is good then I'll make a good comment, which occassionally I do.

I find it quite ironic that you posted what you did and just a few days ago you posted that only a select few were allowed to have big egos, a forum is for discussion and opinions. If you don't like my opinion then don't comment.

I like it, it looks nice, but I DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORK THE THING!!!!!

I've just logged in, and i'm lost already. I think Simon + Greg have spent too long trying to make it all nice and flashy, but I don't know what to do. I'm trying to do the most simple thing: link it with my Facebook status, but I don't see how.

Cool! One other thing... it's not working. Tried three times, basically it just stalls after you tell Facebook to give Youmeo permission to use your stuff.

Use tooltips for sessions of around a week within registering or something.

By the way, Simon, why did you get so defensive when I asked a question about whether there is a picture of the staff in the office or a live feed. I don't question that they work for youmeo, however, I do question that they are actually fully-employed full-time staff at youmeo and not freelance finance/coders respectively. Either way, it's probably my mis-understanding in the first place however I don't think so.

I don't see why people are being so up tight that you don't hear much from the directors, you rarely hear from directors of websites due to the fact they're mostly behind the scenes doing the bits that may never cross your mind or vision. Where as people such as Calum, Adam, Simon and myself are always in the office as we need to be to develop designs and structures.

All staff on the staff page are full time but that doesn't mean they are in the office 24/7. For example Sree is full time but is based in India, that doesn't make him any less of a staff member.
