nice alt. You could try slightly indenting the coloured pieces into the table slightly ... i think this would look better

Dude damien, your a good artist and all but your making the same stuff over and over. Why does this look like your bookshelves, slightly like the ipod, etc..? Make some more variations in shapes and styles, do some more amazingly detailed stuff. Simple is just too simple.

Maybe instead of ignoring the stuff you don't like, listen to it and actually improve. I might be wrong, you might not be a good artist after all if you just ignore feedback.
