in the competition section i always see accounts with 1-10 posts
and that always makes me think that it is a double account if you get my drift...
i was just wondering if there was a rule on this... im sure there use to be
but i cant remember seeing it recently
just if they are multiple accounts from one person and one of them win... what would you do...?

It isn't allowed, no. IF we manage to catch someone doing that, their entries would be void and we'd probably stop them from entering competitions for a while.
The problem is that some people will create accounts BECAUSE they want to enter the competitions, where they're not already a member. The Competitions page on Habbox links to this section and so lots of people viewing Habbox for the first time, check out the competitions.
Thanks for your concern,

thaught so :)
thanks for explaining that :)
ahhhh i never thaught of that reason
but that would explain why a select few only have posts in the competitions part only
xP
I think maybe to IP checks now for the winners? Would make sense?

That'd be a bit hard to set up but, if you do have any other suggestions I'll be willing to give them a try! ;)

i meant how many people use habbox per internet connection
This is all getting a bit OTT for Habbox Comps.. after all danny is the manager!
But i think if someone is blates doing it like
LukeyBaby,
LukeyBaby!
LukeyBaby.
Then action should be taken..
Also should this not be in "Ask the comp staff"

Just to let you all know what is happening...
To prevent this, we are limiting entries to competitions. Only 1 entry may be submitted per Internet Protocol, and so consequently, if siblings decide to enter, only one entry will be taken.

I don't know much about technical stuff but can't that be gotten around using proxys? I just found this thread because I saw in the free lottery thread that there were loads of 1-10 post Nov join date accounts and was going to report it - saw that I'd been beaten to it :P

I am "one of those" people that only have 10 or so posts. However, this isn't because I have multiply accounts. I read about the competitions on the Habbox Homepage one day and I decided to join and try my luck. Within the first week of joining, I entered a competition and placed. Though I do read other parts of the forum, the competition part is the most fun and I like it the most, hence all but one of my posts coming from it. :)
