Hey,
I am thinking about getting my xbox flashed, simply because I don't have the money to get some of the awesome games that I want - So its gonna be cheaper to get it flashed.
However, I have a few questions :]
1) Do you need Dual-Layer DVD's for the games?
2) Are games pretty easy to get a hold of?
3) How much does it cost (on average)/Can you do it yourself?
4) Is live still an issue?
5) NXE, will it still work on a flashed xbox?
Thanks! :)

I wouldnt get it flashed, I had mine flashed before but after a while i got banned.
And then you will have to spend out another 200 quid.

Surely the xbox still works, but LIVE doesn't?
To be honest, I could live without live - but if it bricks your whole console then that is a bit rubbish!

should do as they wouldn't really know you have an xbox unless it's connected to live if you know what I mean.

1) Yes and DL DVD Burner.
2) No, if you get them from a public torrent tracker the speeds are terrible, try and get into a private tracker.
3) You can do it yourself, theres tutorials on 360mods.net
4) With iXtreme 1.4 firmware, no there isn't. Still a slight risk though.
5) I would hold for it, there could be a update in NXE that ***** everything up, no one knows.
Hope that helped. ;)

1. Yes, Verbatim are best (http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3479045/Verbatim-DVD+R-2-4x-Double-Layer-10-Pack/Product.html)
2. Yes, I use Rapidshare, http://bt.xbox-sky.cc and Newsgroups to get them
3. You can do it yourself but it cost me £30 and my warranty sticker is still intact ;)
4. I've had mine flashed ages (I had 2, sold 1 that was flashed over a year ago and still isn't banned.
5. I have NXE and it still works as its the DVD Drives firmware you flash, not the Xbox.

Thank you everyone, just a few more questions :]
Robbie, did you flash it yourself or did you get someone to do it for you? Im quite interested, since NXE and your warranty sticker are still intact :P
+Rep to those who replied.
EDIT: Need to spread before I can give it to you again Robbie.

I got someone to do it, but I can now do it and it's pretty easy tbh.

Would you mind informing me of how to do it? (via PM) :]
I saw some tutorials on YouTube and such, but they all seem to require removing the warranty sticker.
Also, on bt.xbox-sky.cc how do you actually download the torrent? lol

Look at some videos on removing the warranty sticker then reattaching it. Then remove the sticker using that method and open it as normal. Whats the Mfr Date on the back of your Xbox? Near the barcode.
