Hey,
I've recently been given a spare computer and thought I'd make it a little media server for holding music and videos for playing on the other computers on the network, the PS3 and the Xboxes.
I've looked around for software and all I can find is TVersity which doesn't work right for me. So any others please.
Thanks and +rep.

:S Well thats crap.
Tried TVersity and made sure any firewalls aren't blocking it?
Also, Nokia do a Home Media thing that uses UPnP (the same as WMP11 and TVersity) made for the N-series phones, the site says it will work for consoles etc... too so you don't need a phone.

I'm not experienced with PS3 and xBox, but I think they can pick up shared folders within Windows. Then, the computers could also pick up the shared folders. Not so sure about this, I think you will need multiple apps running if that won't work. Hope this helps.

Zune works for xbox 360. :PYes but you can't get Zune's out of North America with out importing and even then you could get blocked :'(
What about installing Windows Home Server, it's an OS, similar to Windows Server 2008 but also similar to Windows Vista, costs about £100. It's designed for the things you're doing but as it's rather uncommon you might struggle to torrent it.
