Funnily enough, when the Dutch hotel Staff were visiting the hotel, someone asked Bucho "will Habbo ever close?" he replied with a "no, never".

Generations to come will play it, and they've had a whole lot of money if they pack it all in now.

Yes, but then again alot of people are leaving in masses with there satisfactory being wiped.

Give it a couple of years, maybe around 5, Habbo will eventully die out.

Habbo China did close:

The Chinese Hotel was planned to launch in spring 2006 but due to administrative issues it was launched on 26/07/06. It started with a closed beta period. The two local hotels, Beijing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beijing) and Shanghai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai) (both using the .cn domain), were used during the beta stages, however, after the beta stages the Shanghainese one was removed.


On 14/08/07 it closed indefinitely, that being the first time a Habbo community was closed. It was allegedly closed due to the competent Chinese market and the high operational costs of this hotel, however some Sulake employees have argued that the closure was because of the unpopularity of Shockwave (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Shockwave) in China. Their users were redirected to other Habbo communities, mainly notably Singapore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore).


I know that isn't habbo as such, but if one of the hotels becomes very unpopular, there not going to fund it.

Habbo will die out one day.

I mean it's like everything else, one day even the internet won't be used that much (well it'll be used but in different forms) just like how the radio turned to TV and how Records LP's went to cassets then to CD's and now MP3's and how then old Video reel things went to video tapes then DVD and not Blu ray. Everythig moves on and so will the internet and Habbo will go with it, and probs will go onto this "New Internet" or what ever will replace the internet
